Our division little lion “Spirit of Guiding” was designed and painted by over 250 girls and volunteers. It is part of St Clare’s sculpture trail accross Harlow, Epping and Loughton this summer. Take on our challenge and be part of something special.

Lions on the Loose Challenge
Our division lion “Spirit of Guiding” was painted by over 250 girls and volunteers across Harlow Division. It is now part of Harlow’s biggest public art trail. Complete our four-part challenge — open to everyone, not just Girlguiding members. All proceeds from the badge go to St Clare Hospice.

Participants aged 10 and under complete at least 1 activity from this section. Participants aged 11+ complete at least 2 activities from this section. Lions Champions complete 3+ from each section or a whole section.

How do I order the badge?
Can all challenge activities be done indoors?
How do I register my daughter for Girlguiding?
Register your daughter at Girlguide UK website or speak to a Harlow leader. Registering early is worthwhile as some units have waiting lists.
Which section is right for my daughter?
Girls are usually placed by age: Rainbows (4–7), Brownies (7–10), Guides (10–14), and Rangers or Young Leaders (14–18). When you register, the unit leader will help place your daughter in the most suitable section.
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No experience is needed. There is a wide range of opportunities. Volunteering is flexible and fits around your existing commitments. Explore volunteering on the Girlguiding UK website.
